I offer professional dog grooming services with a specialty in breed specific cuts, all taking place in a quiet and relaxed at-home atmosphere.

With my highly efficient "tiny shop," I groom a single client at a time to reduce stress and ensure predictable pick-up and drop-off times.

Developing a trusted relationship with clients is very important to me. I care about your dog(s) and will work with you to find a routine that makes them look and feel their best.

Currently I am not accepting new grooming clients (but I can accommodate new nail trims).
CURRENT CLIENTS
I encourage everyone to book ahead at the time of check-out; you can also call, text, or e-mail me, but you are responsible for ensuring your appointment is scheduled.

If your grooming schedule is more frequent than 8 weeks, you likely will need to book at least two appointments in advance.

CANCELLATION POLICY
24-hour notice is required to avoid a cancellation fee. First offense is 50% of the value of the scheduled appointment, second offense is 100%. I understand emergencies happen, and cancellation fees may be waived at my discretion.

Arriving late to an appointment by 10 minutes or more may constitute a cancellation.
​
Due to my tight schedule, last-minute cancellations may need to wait until their next regularly-scheduled appointment.

ABOUT
ME
My name is Heather Ramsdell. I’ve been grooming dogs professionally since 2009. I started my journey at Doggie Styles in Colchester and am grateful to the training and assistance I received there for my 9 years as an employee. Hairy Paws Grooming has been open since March of 2019 and it couldn’t be a better fit in our lives!

I groom a wide variety of breeds, but particularly enjoy breed standard haircuts on terriers. Some of the most common breeds I groom are Shih Tzus, Poodles (and their many mixes) Airedales and Old English Sheepdogs. I love learning new techniques and skills and find grooming to be an intellectually stimulating career.
​
In my personal life my husband (Darren) and I are very passionate about rescue animals. In total we have rescued 7 dogs and 2 cats, an assortment of purebreds and Vermont shelter hounds. All have been wonderful additions to our house. I am actively involved with Poodle Rescue of Vermont and VT Dog Rescue and have had many foster dogs over the years. We love them all!
